The Unexpected Request - New Book! SALE TODAY ONLY

Introducing
The Unexpected Request
Hot off the press, brand new, and a great read!

"Ty Elliot returns to his home after an absence of two years, knowing full well the danger which threatens him each hour he lingers in the old cabin in the mountains. But with his father on his death bed and his younger sister exhausted, Ty knows he must remain for a time at least. When his father makes a strange request and begs his returned son to “find her,” Ty promises but is bewildered. Who is he to find? How can he set about the task of honoring his word? The only clues the dying man can give his son are a broken locket, a small photograph of a woman and a few last whispered instructions; “Take care of your sisters.” In confusion, Ty turns to his father’s childhood friend, Carson, for advice. Would the older man be able to help Ty and his sister, Sally? How much time did Ty have at the cabin before ‘they’ found out? Join Ty, Sally and Carson on their journey in search of the missing sister. The dangers they encounter, the hardships they face, as well as the friendly homes they visit, will keep you turning the pages. Set in the untamed west of the mid-1800s, this is a story the whole family will enjoy."

This is my sister's second published book in one year! Her first book
was published earlier this year and just a few weeks ago, this second book was released! She has been posting this story 1.000 words at a time, once a week for months on her blog, and her readers have been EAGERLY awaiting the end of the story.

A Sneak Preview from the Beginning
"A bitter wind struck the two riders full in the face as they crested the ridge. The view of the Sierra Blanca was partly obscured by the low clouds which had moved in after dawn. The towering peaks were still visible, the white of their snow etched against the deep blue sky. The riders reined in, ignoring the frigid bite of the wind to take in the scene. The valley lay before them in the shadow of the clouds while the ridge they were on was in full sunlight. The horses stamped with impatience, tossing their heads, each breath a frosty white cloud in the clear air, and the saddles jingled. The older rider pulled his hat lower over his face to try to block the wind and glanced back over his shoulder at the way they had just come..." Read more here.

P.I.C’s By Breanna Feature and Giveaway

I'm excited to share a very talented photographer with you today! Breanna is a friend of mine and she takes beautiful photos! It's been so fun watching her skills increase over the years that I've known her. Her work is beautiful, and I love how she adds Scripture verses to many of her nature photos making them even more beautiful. She truly seeks to honor the Lord in her work and it shows!

Please allow me to introduce to you P.I.C.’s By Breanna!

Landscapes
Please tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Breanna Klein; I live in Columbia MO. in the country on twenty acres of mostly forest!!  I own a golden retriever named Glory, I have two parents, four older brothers, two younger brothers, one younger sister, three sister-n-laws, and one niece!! I love the outdoors, I enjoy my family and friends a lot, and I love the Lord Jesus Christ more than anything!!

I am a photographer and enjoying capturing the moments!! I capture many different types of photos… landscape, animals, custom designs, portraits and more! I also make photo cards and invitations!!

How and when did you become interested in your craft?
I became interested at a young age in photography. My father is a good photographer as well. He has taught me much and provided me with cameras through the ages. I started trying to sell photos, cards and invitations about two years ago.

What inspired you to start your business?
My family suggested I start trying to sell photos and so I have been in the process of building the business for some time now. I was inspired to start a blog by one of my sister-n-laws. She is a marketer and suggested I start a blog or something of the sorts to get my name out there and so people could see my work without having to see me in person. Also it provides some way for people to see my work and order over the phone or by email if they would desire some product from me.

James Madison's Home- Montpelier

Where did your shop name come from?
P.I.C’s by Breanna came from my brother Jonathan and my father. The P.I.C’s stands for Pictures I’ve Captured! :)

What inspires you to create your work?
God’s glorious creation most of the time!! :) He has made such a beautiful earth and there are so many breathtaking moments, and beautiful and amazing things in it! I enjoy trying to capture the moments and then frame them or put them on a card to share with others. As to my “designed” photos I usually get inspirations from family members, friends or the idea just comes to me. :)

Where/How did you learn your craft?
I got most of my learning from my father, and God. :) I continue to learn more and more as I take more photos and meet other photographers. I also have learned much in the way of portrait photography from a good friend of mine. Your Pic Photography.

Is there something that you do differently than other people in your craft?
I do designed or themed photos. I am willing to set up any topic and capture it in a unique and different way. I also do memory photos in which I take memorable items and set them up as a picture to have forever. I am willing to take orders for any topical photo that someone might want to have or decorate with. I also do collages of almost anything! Flowers, themed, un-themed, people, places, and so on.

Themed Photos

What are 5 things that you could never do without in your craft?
MY Camera!! :) Computer, Lenses to the camera, Backup drives to the computer, and memory cards… and of course my family and Lord!!! :)

What is the most exciting thing that has happened since you've started?
There’s been a lot. Making wedding invitations for a young couple a few years ago was exciting. My showing in Memphis Tenn. was exciting too!! Also winning some ribbons in the CHEF photo contests the last two years has been great fun as well!!

Do you take custom orders? If so, how do they work?
Yes I do take custom orders. Really if someone has an idea of what they want they can just email or call me and I try capture or make what they want. All of my wedding invitations are custom orders! The brides and grooms had an idea of what they wanted, showed me some other designs that they liked, but wanted different or things changed on it and I made them up several different designs and they chose one!! :) I love taking custom orders and trying to make something new!!!

Memory Pictures

Besides crafting, what else do you do?  What are your other interests?
Lots! I enjoy family and friends! Love water! Enjoy sports, animals, eating, hats, and many other fun activities!! Some of my favorite things to do are dancing, swimming, playing sports and games, and spending time with friends!! :)

Why do you do what you do?
Because I enjoy it, and also because it is a way for me to make money while staying at home and still be able to have time to enjoy my family and friends whenever I want! I really love being my own boss and being able to have my own schedule (in most cases)!! :)

Doesn't she do a beautiful photos? I love how creative she is in the many different types of photography she does! And not only does she take photos and sell them, she's also graciously offering one of my readers their own copy of this print in your choice of 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10!

Autumn Glories

I love Fall colors!! Just before the leaves fall and die, the Lord gives us a beautiful display of His handiwork, reminding us that He loves us and is still caring for us.

Here's a collection I made of handmade items from various Artfire shops that reflect those glorious colors.
