Black Friday Sales

Here are a few more Black Friday sales for you!

Tropical Traditions is offering a $10 off coupon code for all orders over $12.99. Just use the coupon code 111328 at checkout to receive your discount. I just placed my order for their Organic Palm Shortening as I was almost out! This is perfect for all the holiday baking coming up! I use it in place of Crisco and it works GREAT!

More Than Alive is also having a big sale! And on top of their sale prices, they're also offering a coupon code for 20% off! Use the code BFSALE20 at checkout for your discount! They carry many different items including one of my favorites, the Berkey water filters!

Light of Faith Resources is in the middle of their biggest sale of the year! If you're looking for Christ-Centered books, DVDs, audios, or other resources you'll want to check out their sales!

Have your children ever heard the Jonathan Park radio dramas? Those would make GREAT Christmas gifts - especially at 40%-50% off!

Do you have young children? Light of Faith carries a huge selection of Melissa & Doug products,  and right now you can also get them for 40%-50% off! Hurry before the supply runs out!

Are you looking for a good Christmas movie? Our family just previewed and very much enjoyed Silver Bells which you can also get during this sale! :)

There are many, many other products as well, and if your order today, I just might be the one who processes the shipping label for your package! I'm heading over to my brother's house very soon to help with all of the orders! Don't you want to give us more work to do this afternoon and evening? :)

April Update - Sewing, Books & More

Has it really been nearly 3 weeks since I posted last? And is it really the 11th of April?! I certainly didn't plan to go so long between posts on my blog, but life has a way of filling up every spare minute sometimes. :)

I have been sewing, sewing, sewing these past few months. I've gotten LOTS of custom orders this year, and I'm having so much fun creating all of these special outfits. From Easter dresses to matching peasant skirts for a set of cousins, to a sweet white peasant dress for a special little girl. Every order has been a joy to make!

And I'm not finished yet! Skirts, jumpers, peasant blouses, bloomers, and culottes among other things are still on my list to make. If you're reading this and you're waiting for your order to be finished, please know that I'm working as fast as I can to complete each order, and I will do my best not to keep you waiting too long. :)

In between all of my Joyfully Sewn Designs orders, I'm listing books and curriculum as fast as I can on Homeschool Classifieds and E-bay in a desperate attempt to get rid of the stacks and stacks of boxes (more than 50 of them) of used homeschool curriculum that have taken over our house. We purchased almost 100 boxes (it's a long story) of this stuff, and now we're trying to sell it off and get it out of our house! :) Anyone need any A Beka, Bob Jones, Saxon, Rod & Staff, Easy Grammer, or anything else? :)

The view from my desk - a small portion of the boxes!

And besides all of that (just to make life a little more interesting), this week marks the start of my brother's 6 week marathon of homeschool conventions. He will taking Light of Faith Resources to 8 Homeschool Conventions in 6 weeks! That means LOTS of pricing and packing for our whole family plus my parents, sister, and I are helping out with one conference next weekend, and then doing one by ourselves the following weekend! It should be fun, but it will definitely be a whirlwind couple of weeks!

So, if my blog is rather quiet in these next month or so, you'll know why. :) I might get a little time to post in the hotel one weekend though. I guess we'll see. :) I have a couple of really neat shops that I'm eagerly waiting to share with you just as soon as I can find time!

Light of Faith Resources at SHEM

This past weekend my parents, sister and I were at the SHEM Homeschool Convention in Springfield, MO running the Light of Faith booth for my brother.

I enjoy attending these conferences. Even though I don't get to hear the speakers very often, I do get to meet lots of people. I'm a people watcher too, so I love getting to watch all the many different people that come by the booth. :)

I especially enjoyed watching the SHEM young people this weekend who were serving as Pages for the Vendors and SHEM staff. They were so cheerful, respectful, and ready to serve! Saturday evening when it was time for tear down, we were able to get the booth completely dismantled, packed up AND loaded in 1 hour 15 minutes thanks to the wonderful help of the Pages!! Usually this job takes 2-3 hours! We were so blessed by such willing, eager, hardworking helpers!
